I am an experienced Finance Director and for the last 20 years have worked with a diverse range of companies, from highly successful PLCs and private listed companies to trail-blaizing entrepreneurs..
I have extensive knowledge of how to help businesses start up, restructure, make acquisitions and disposals and manage investments as well as providing on-going and interim finance and operational support. I have coached businesses in how to achieve rapid growth and strategically plan for their future.
I offer professional services primarily to small and medium sized enterprises. However I don’t act as a consultant. I firmly believe in going in and working with businesses, not just telling them what to do. I am passionate about helping them grow and thrive. I like to think outside the box and enjoy finding creative, exciting approaches and providing tailored solutions to their issues.
I trained with a Top Ten firm of chartered accountants and qualified in 1990 as a Chartered Accountant, moving into my first role as a Finance Director in 1994.
Outside of work my passion is the theatre and rugby and have been an avid follower of Gloucester Rugby Club all my life, as a member of the 1873 club for the last five years.
I feel privileged to have worked with many charities, pro-bono, and hold several small trusteeships in education and arts related charitable trusts. I have been on the Board of Trustees for the Gloucestershire Everyman Theatre for the last 20 years and Chairman for the last five years.
